Didn't think it would be the case but this looks like it was the end of the windsurf season. I believe it was very good until the moment I got on the water and it died in its arse. Bastian had a nice 30 minutes or so though so he was stoked.
Pre race nerves on the morning of the Epic. Started off warm and dry but an hour into the race the drizzle started and the temperature dropped. It was all a bit slippy and bumpy and Haagen, my racing partner, buggered of into the distance never to be seen again.Or at least the finish.
I have been training with Haagen most of the summer but he must have been sneaking in a few sessions. He came third in our age group 8th overall in under 6 hours and I came 12th and 29th respectively with 6h 30min ans 13 sec. Not too bad for a couple of part timers.
Was a bit cold heading round the bluffs at Dingleburn. Would have been faster but my ever fashionable baggy trousers were slowing me down considerable.
Louie found it all a little boring.
Who is watching the road?
